It's too deppressing to watch the news these days.... there was a deadly cyclone in Burma... a deadly tornado in another part of the world... a killer quake just recently in China.. at home there's a rice crisis and an oil price hike mayhem... Even if all the super heroes are real, we won't have time to take a picture with them as they'll be too busy saving the world...
Is the end of the world near? Is this already God's punishment? Who is at fault? Are we all to blame? These questions are too mind-boggling. But one thing's for sure, it all stems from selfishness.
But let's all move on... help one another to move on... life's storms may be a vicious cyle, but don't let the negative overshadow the positive... Keep moving forward, as the Robinsons say.
And for now, may the grace from heaven fall on the innocent, the victims of these disasters and crisis...

Bijou going sporty
I just started with a new passion - running! In 2 weeks, my friends and I will be joining a Fun Run and we started "training" yesterday at Ultra. I ran for 2 turns, walk for half the oval, then did that sequence for 2 more before I can't take it any longer. That's about 7.5 turns in the oval (including walking).
And if I want to take this to the next level, I need:
- another sportsbra
- new sports socks
- dri fit shirts, shorts and jogging pants
- Ipod case for sports
- headphones
I sometimes surprise myself for my usual impulsiveness and spontaneity, especially in trying out new things.. well well well... behold the new "Sporty-Bijou".
Hope I can keep up with this "active" lifestyle.. =)

D'Arvit!
I just "devoured" one pack of Honeycomb Crusted Tim Tams -- 7 high-calorie, high-fat, high-sugar biscuits...(Roselyn snatched one), I consumed all in one sitting.
N-A-S-T-Y.
And I want to puke any moment now for eating that much.
I need to burn all these tomorrow at the oval.
Q-U-I-C-K.

April stories - the last week
The past week has been so hectic! I spent little time at home, I felt (hope) I already lost 5 lbs, amidst the free meals and an outpouring of goodies from down under.
AZNAC day (Apr25) I spent wall climbing with some of my officemates. It is supposed to be a Staffware + Middleware team building, but Staffware was just me and Angelo (the mastermind). I climbed 2 1/2 walls, so that's like 70 feet, hehe... it was quite a feat for me. I'm excited to do this more often after I have the right shoes. I just borrowed Nine's size 7 climb shoes. I'm a size 9, SO just imagine, how sore my toes were after each climb. Had some celebrity sighting at Centro Atletico as well as there were Sen. Bong Revilla, Philip Salvador, Jestoni Alarcon, Ricky Rivero, Hawkins and Bong Ravena playing Badminton. The latter made Roselyn so giddy, as she confessed she had a teenage crush on Ravena. And the effect is still the same after all those years, and he's like, err old now. hehehe
The following day was Project Pasyal of the BLD Singles for the kids of Pierre Bonhomme at LaMesa EcoPark. The place is so cool, the trees gave me a sense of comfort. But it was so HOT, I was sweating like crazy though I was in my summer top, especially while Rocha and I were battling with the paddles during the boat ride. Yes, we did it, or moreso volunteered Rocha to boat with me. Later on I told her that we can't be partners in Amazing Race because we both suck at boating. *LOL* But it was fun nonetheless. =)
There were 3 kids with us in the boat: 2 boys - Jesus and Angel, and one she-little devil - Laxmie (just kiddin'!!!) =) Funny, while we've finally figured how to keep the boat moving, and after running out of things to say to the kids, I asked them to sing. And of all the songs in the whole world, we sang- "Lupang Hinirang". *ROFL*
What a lovely experience being with your friends, playing with little kids amidst their stubborness and naughtiness, and being one with nature.
Therefore my arms, especially my left arm was useless afterwards. I had a massage last Sunday with a blind masseusse and she just hit the most sore pressure points, it was both painful and comforting.
Later that Sunday afternoon was the first day of the nosebleed week(hehe), as we play host to the visiting clients from Sydney.
We had Mark, our Sydney-based manager rode the jeepney. hehe It was a short ride, but I think he enjoyed it. He can pass as a Chinoy but he's actually Japanese-Brit. Went to MCS to buy some DVDs, then to MOA after for a little in the mall and dinner.
It's also like Chritmas as each client visitor bought something for us.. so there's so many Lindt chocolates, Tim Tams and other goodies for 3 straight days it's crazy!
Wednesday Mark Gordon flew in last, he literally looks like Santa Claus while handing out his pasalubong with his built and sun-dyed hair, its just the beard and the red suit missing. We also accompanied Alice to go shopping and have some spa on that night. I've never seen anyone shop like her! Maybe it's because things are way cheaper here, and I feel proud that she likes shopping in the local shops here. We went to The Spa after. Had a aromatheraphy head and shoulder massage. I almost fell asleep, I think the oils did good stuff in my hair, and the nice shoulder rub, man, I want a whole body pampering!
I was a laborer at work on Labor day. Most of the clients leave for Sydney that day, and Filipinos are such camwhores, we had a bunch with Mark, Matt and David.
Friday - May 2, I was cramming for the AOFs but I only was able to finish 1. It was Mark P's last day in Manila, he's like a celeb posing with everyone. Pinoys are such freaks when there's a camera. *LOL*
I went to meet up Theen afterwards in Makati for Cha's baby shower. Aidz and I hitched in Ruffy's car going to Greenbelt. While waiting for Tgeen at the Enterprise, I thought of dropping by the APS area, but Patch has already left. I bumped into King and Noel there instead.
The babyshower was held at The Club in Greenbelt Parkplace in Palanca. Cha really looks like about to give birth anytime. Saw Muriel, one of my closest ka-chika in the Youth, and are topic was still our lovelives - or the lack of it hehe...
And I still have 2 AOFs to finiissshhh..
Darn.
