Growing up in the 90s, I was never really a BIG Spice Girls fan. But their songs were really infectious, more like a guilty pleasure for me nowadays. So I strolled down memory lane, and it just occurred to me how I really dig their songs like: "Say You'll be there", "Who do you think you are" and "Spice up your life", okay I'll "Stop" here before I end up writing down all their hits.
Catched this really wicked Spice Girl's Tesco Ad.. link from YT:

Rome wasn't built in a day
*Isang (mahabang) post bago ako gumawa ng (Friday) status report...
Highlights of the week:
1st Focus Bowling Tournament, Powerbowl - 11/13
Yung "1st" pauso lang yan para umattend yung mga tao. =) I gathered that this was the 1st real teambuilding the project ever had since its existence. Yeah ganun ka-busy ang project namin. It was fun to have organized this event. Nakaka-miss talagang umepal sa mga activities hehe! Anyways, majority of my projectmates attended, and I think everyone had a good time. =)
Where can you see someone who is about to hit the pins while still on the phone talking to someone onshore? In this project, you can't really separate work and play. Armed with the support laptops and cellphone, one team is deploying something in production, while my own team is monitoring several runs for the night. Work-life balance. Not.
I suck at bowling as always, eh... 3x pa lang ata ako nag-bowling sa buong buhay ko! nyahaha!
Bumping to/Meeting ex-LNIEs
Kenneth (w/ Ivy) at Powerbowl, Patch at the train ride home, Denver at The Block and Kaye (and Diane J) at Powerplant.
On LNIE: Mark Laja is also now in CG (for the interim before flying somewhere..) so it feels like the old TPC1 is back. Too bad Santi and Paul is in the US, Batch, Mateng, Jo, Dinday are.. well MIA.... So it's always usually myself, Carla, Mark and Pam who meet up.
Alvin's birthday was on the 17th and since he's in UBP, he was generous enough to even send some us money to treat us for lunch! Grabe, Happy Birthday loverboy-Alvin!
My Big Chill-buddy-Roselyn is back! Sexy as ever! Sana ma-onshore din ako para pumayat haha! Thanks for the Tim Tam and mail opener. Still waiting for the bookmark... *wink*wink*
Hump day headache
I was on support last Wednesday because of a BIG run. "BIG", meant crazy events that happened before and after the run. "BIG" meant going from dayshift to nightshift and going to the office the morning after. I went to the office in jeans, hoping to just stay there for a couple of hours. I ended up staying longer.
In the daily con-call, one onshore counterpart asked me if I slept already. I did, had short 20-30 min naps during the whole thing. So when the coordinator mentioned an action item assigned to me, that guy also quickly said that I should go back to bed! Haha! I wanted to screamed: Yes! Not only do I need to go back to bed, I also need a week off! (or make that a month)
Next week, I'm on call support again... no BIG run.. but darn little issues from this BIG run... blood and bloody ashes..

Trinoma - a different kind of experience
Goodness gravy how I looovee Trinoma! Though I'm still partial to SM (The Block)... I love strolling each level (yes each level, each corridor aka the maze)... i noticed that most of the store's window displays were really well-thought of, as well as their modern interiors fit on the brand each represent. Every brand I can think of that is available in the PI has a store there. Also, I love the mixture of green and orange shades at the Landmark grocery. Really comforting to the eyes. The department store was like Rustans meet SM Makati or something to that effect..
Love it! love it! I usually go inside the mall to ride the jeepney in front of the Mindanao entrance, to avoid the usual traffic along North Ave that started when the mall opened.
I was there when the mall has a soft-opening in April(?), no aircon in the mall and the Gerry's grill service sucks because it was their Sat night of operations. I was there when the Landmark grocery opened.. and recently when the department store opened.
Anyways, I think the Mercury pharmacists are already familiar with me because of the frequency of my visits. Funny, the last time I was there, the other girl was teasing another girl to the guy on the cashier... and I saw how the girl blushed! Ha ha ha! Wala lang...

Krispy Kreme disasturr... I was for months looking forward the store's opening in Trinoma. ita Ba and I bought some donuts and decided to eat at the newly-opened store. Then Diane, accidentally knocked down a cup of hot coffee... spilling on my thigh! I was wearing shorts, and oh, boy was it hot! I don't know if I made a little scene in Krispy Kreme, for I was uber concerned that I will get a burn, or if the outer skin will be removed from my flesh... and then will turn into an ugly scar... and... and... anyways... actually it just made a big splotch of red mark near my knee and in my thigh. Kudos to the store's good service, one of the crew gave me an anti-burn ointment to spread on my skin, and the coffee was refilled for free. Thank God, the redness was gone after an hour!

There's a 6-yr-oldish kid who plays the Percussion Master at Timezone like a pro/grown-up! Man, the kid really can kick some *** with those sticks which are bigger and heavier than her puny hands can hold. Yes, she's one little girl, and she's already a percussion "master".
Sidenote: My cousin Diane and I ended up making a fool of ourselves when it was our turn to play the game. Darn, I was looking for "B is BANANAS, B-A-N-A-N-A-S", but the song was not in the playlist. We played Barbie Girl, and I don't think I'm making the best sound, just concerned with hitting the right part of the drumset to keep me alive in the game. I missed my LNIE Timezone days.

- Mastercard priceless moment -- my 1 1/2-yr-old cousin calling me "Jiiwii" with 4 front-teeth showing off in a big smile =)
