i can only count with my fingers the number of times i spent the whole weekend doing nothing at home this year. I've been so busy with work since Feb, and even now that i'm into a new project, work days stretched into work nights and into weekends.. weekends day and night...
this weekend is no exception, pretty much in yin-yang though, good-bad...
BAD = working sat nyt, dozing off then alarming myself every 45 mins or so to monitor the progress of the run... funny thing I had 2 separate dreams, the other was when a crush called up, the 2nd, i was off to bora but i didn't packed anything so i got off and went back home at our old house in malabon. sunday - i was on the phone the whole day talking to 8 different people in 3 different countries because of an issue at work... it's a good thing i can reimburse all these calls, else i'm dead meat.
GOOD = blessed teaching on shepherding.. though i've already shepherd on several occasions back in the youth and in st. scho LSS... these teachings are much more deeper and insightful... Amici lunches! Had the usual spinach lasagna and cream puff on sat and tried the Arabiatta on sun... the latter was freaking hot! When all this time I thought my tongue is spicy-food friendly already... MRT ride and ATM-hunt in trinoma with Eloi, loads of stories shared on work, BLD Singles, lovelife (or lack there of), quarter-life-crisis, etc etc...

when ur proud to be an inmate
Onli da pinoys can pull something like this: 900+ prisoners from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) made a historic debut in the WWW - group dance presentation!... reminiscent of the field demos we have in OLGA...
Check out their moves, darn proud of them! (ironic e?)
Radio Gaga - Queen
Thriller - Michael Jackson
I Will Follow Him from Sister Act
The Algo-rithm March (for the world record! anlufet!)
And the best:
Jumbo Hotdog - Masculados (kaya mo ba 'to? LSS na'to tokwa...)

The heat is still on
It's freaking hot in this tropical archipelago! The heat is alarming, when it's supposed to be the rainy season. Where are the storms and typhoons??? If I could just summon the rains (sans the flood) just to cool the weather a bit.
I remember in WoT that the weather is getting warmer because the Dark Lord is back and the Last Battle is coming. In reality, the "Last Battle" is the destruction of the environment.. I can't bear the thought of seeing our precious Mother Earth crushed into ruins. I know I've been guilty of contributing to global warming, and that my simple efforts will probably contribute to .0001% in saving Mother Earth, but then it's worth the shot.
I wish I can learn the trick done by Aes Sedai (EYEZ seh-DEYE) in WoT where they can remain cool amidst the heat in the surroundings (and perhaps also the way they look ageless). And if only again, changing the weather is like finding the Bowl of the Winds, a ter'angreal (still in WoT) that could return the weather to what was defined as normal.
So what are you waiting for?

*****Between work and catching up Zzzzs last weekend was HP Book 7. Everyone in the house is giving me space to read the book in silence.. as I prefer a perfect reading setting since this is the last book of the series, and is the most anticipated and biggest bestseller in recent history. Nards woke me up Sat nyt and told me that she finished it already! So here I am, determined to finish the book tonight (while I vigil for a task for work).

Presenting myself...
I'm now on my 4th day (err.. night?) doing night shift work at home and I just thought of noting down some things about myself to kill time while I'm supposedly working...
1. I'm a night person.
2. Waking early in the morning is not my cup of tea.
3. Starbucks = Passion Iced Tea, Caramel Latte; Coffee Bean = Chai Tea Latte; Seattle's Best = Javanilla (+ Double Fudge Brownie); UCC - Iced Choco
4. I'm OC. Though it's sometimes my pet peeve with my dad.
5. 5 is my fave #. So is the letter E.
6. I only applied to 2 schools for college - UP (which I didn't made the quota) and DLSU. Obviously, animo lasalle! =)
7. There's only 2 companies I seriously applied to: MISYS (which I only had the exam) and my present company where I'm now onto my 5th year...
8. I'm a certified bookworm - anything from classics to children's books, suspence, fantasy... all those bestsellers and pinoy books, Bible, graphic novels, etc, etc...
9. Reading about other people's blogs is my past time... it's a weird feeling to see and talk to a person (whether famous or not) and then you feel you're connected to him/her because you've been an ardent follower of their stuff online.
10. I'm tamad to read forwarded mails and forward them.
11. I love to dance.. but not as graceful though
12. Emo moment setting:
13. I wish to have more songs under brit rock, neo jazz, house and world music.
14. I still dream of being a historian, archaeological expert (think Lara Croft14. 15. I'm a silent green peace activist
16. I'm semi-vegan.
When people ask me why:
17. yet... i don't think I'll ever be a full vegan.

12. Emo moment setting:
- PERFECT SETTING: At the beach, lying on a chaise (either sunbathing or not) while listening to my "Haay" playlist
- Alone in my room... lying in bed... staring at the ceiling or eyes closed while singing with the songs (still the "Haay" playlist)
13. I wish to have more songs under brit rock, neo jazz, house and world music.
14. I still dream of being a historian, archaeological expert (think Lara Croft14. 15. I'm a silent green peace activist
16. I'm semi-vegan.
When people ask me why:
- to slim down
- to stay healthy. proud fact: i never had a serious cold in 2 yrs!
- i can't stand eating anything that once walked on 2 or 4 feet. it's like eating another person.
- save the animals, save the world ;-)
17. yet... i don't think I'll ever be a full vegan.

night shift
i brought the heavy laptop home to continue on with the testing since citrix and vpn are not yet fully cofigured at home. I have to do something at 4 AM tomorrow.
hmmm.. should i sleep and alarm at 3:30?
should i stay awake and just watch Veronica Mars or Heroes?
if i sleep, can i sleep right away and be able to wake up before 4?
can i stay awake albeit it was a pretty rough week for my sleeping time and i just had a dance aerobics class earlier where the stretching exercises reminded me that i'm not from The Incredibles...

HP @ IMAX
Just got back from an IMAX movie date with brother dearest, and though Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was not that superb, the IMAX experience certainly made up for it. It's the 2nd time I watched it, the first one was during a project teambuilding last friday at Galle. Luckily I was able to get off from work after an issue-filled day.
Some random thoughts about the movie:
1. I simply adore Luna Lovegood! I love what she told Harry what her mother said to her that stuffs you lose has a way of finding its way back to you. Though not in the way you expected it to be...
2. I am amuse on how Snape talks, I'm looking forward how he will kill Dumby in the 6th movie.
3. Dan Rad looks short. What's his height btw? Hermione sometimes look taller than him. I'm worried that in the next film, Ginny will grew taller than him.
4. True, one of the Weasley twins did look like their dad.
5. I still don't like Cho Chang in the movies.
6. Draco Malfoy is getting cuter, though he kinda reminds me of my cousin Michael.
7. The first time I saw Sirius' death scene, it didn't affected me. More so because it doesn't jive with what I envisioned it while reading the book. Also it was so sudden. I was affected though this time around.
8. 20 mins of 3D scenes are simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! 400 well spent (for me anyway).
I'm definitely looking forward for book 7.
And why do I get this feeling that Ron will be one of the two characters who will be killed in the last book.... nooooooooooo!!!! They can just kill Hagrid and Dumbledore (this time for real).

Bijou: Private Investigator
I only read one Nancy Drew book when I was young, I would love to do marathon-watching of Alias and CSI but I don't have the time, but I'm a big fan of Veronica Mars... so where did I get my knack for private investigation? beats me.. maybe I'm just a natural... especially in getting information about my crush.... mwahaha
heck no I'm not a STALKER! I've already experienced being threatened by one and I don't want to ever experience it again. I just got details about them (or other people's crush) at the most common places - e.g. google, blogs, friendster, multiply, office address book hehehe... and for the record, I'm not OBSESSED with finding info about them... this is just a by-product of my curiosity and boredom. (Kelangan may disclaimer...ü)...
Is hell week over? I certainly hope so! I intend to watch HP again at IMAX on Monday night with my brother, but I doubt if I can with the issue at work. Was it just a few weeks back when I told myself that it will be the last time I'll be working in the office on a weekend. But only 4 weeks in my new project and I'm already doing it again.
I went to Jayson's birthday/send-off party at his place and got to talk to Diane J who's already resigning from the company. She's like the 5th person I know who have resigned this year and I know another one who will before the year ends. Makes me ponder on that thought more since I'm technically not allowed to request for another roll-off and my new role is not what I've expected it to be (and what was communicated also). But I'm still giving this new project a chance... 6 months... else... I'll cross the bridge when I get there... hehe
Also at the party, we were chatting with one of his friends and he was telling us single girls to watch out for guys who appear to be straight but also go for gays... Being gay himself he is actually wondering how come their number is increasing... funny insight, but rather true.. sad fact for us.. ouch!!!
