Gemini dreaming

OK, I admit, I'm a certified Kapamilya and a closet fan of most of their reality shows. PDA ended last night, I was watching while finishing my goals which I was supposed to submit Fri night. Hehehe, buti na lang I didn't wrote their anything related to PDA! Anyways, the most memorable was probably Panky & Chad's duet of "Gemini" by Spongecola. Their number gave me goosebumps evenrsince I saw that they were practicing it. Grabecious, Chad is soooo intense! As in! And the way they sang it, babae na si Panky! hehe Nice chemistry and blend of voices! Both of them where my favorites since Day 1, and I really hope they could release a full version of this song. Kilig pa rin ako kainis! haha!

Thanks to youtube, here's the vid: Gemini by Panky and Chad (Grand Dream Night)

Where thou art Prince of PersiaI read Pam's blog at Xanga on how she saw Prince at People Support. Diane from the project told me the other day that she would've searched profiles in friendster just to get this guy's identity. Sikat na si Prince! Friday went by and I didn't even see him anywhere, oh well, maybe we'll meet again in Bora... hehehehehe

Pwede rin si Prince William... mang-agaw raw ba ng crush! =P Peace, Pam!

X'mas shopping '06 Part 1

I went shopping for X'mas gifts yesterday at SM North. I went first to Kultura at The Block, and I can't decide what things to get for some people in my list. Then the song changed to a folk song (was it for Tinikling?), then all the salespersons started to clap and dance!!! COOLness! I checked the time - 6 PM, (Angelus?) hehe... I was able to buy several stuff for a good many people in my list.

Next stop Fully Booked (my dream franchise at this moment, before it was Powerbooks), and bought a Paulo Coelho book and some cute pens for some LNIE. I also reserved a copy of The Virgin Suicides after seeing the CD in one Veronica Mars episode and got intrigued on the movie, which is actually based from a book.

For my 5 inaanaks (have 6 to be exact, but the latest is based in Japan so libre!), I went next to Toy Kingdon. Here, the ever-choosy me, went from one stall to another, got one item, then dropping it elsewhere when i found a better (sometimes cheaper, yet cuter item). Like in Kultura, a song was played around 7PM?, and all the salepersons were clapping as well with the tune! I'm not sure if the Sy's were into Fish! philosophy nowadays, I'm getting the feeling they have. =) Galing!

Since I can't carry them all, I checked-in the shopping bags at a baggage counter to go to the main mall to find the other meds my dad need. I also need to go to the office supplies section and the basement. So I went to 3 drugstores just to complete all of them.

Kinarir ko ang shopping! I could've completed my list if I'm not that tired, plus it's late, and I can't carry all the bags anymore. I even went to the grocery after (which was supposed to be my primary purpose in going to the mall).

Others:

  • Natanggal si Yvan sa PDA! =( I heard great comments about his last song, buti na lang I didn't get to see it, baka maiyak lang din ako. But, I was so happy that Panky was still there!
  • Prince of Persia update:
Diane saw him at Greenhills last Dec 1! Nakapambahay lang daw. Then, Pam called me Fri night when she saw Prince with his barkada at Starbuck's PeopleSupport! Grabeee!!! Expat ba sha? or he really does live here? Gosh! I would love to see him again!
  • Got the Starbuck's planner already! After almost daily trips to this place to get some Peppermint mocha, iced tea and other drinks, I was able to get my first planner from here. So coffee "break" muna, I'm missing Big Chill...

Bijou-wel’s Bora Diaries

Bear with me, this is my first time in Bora that's why I really have to put everything in writing (well, as much as I can write about).

Nov 23: Day 1

  • Domestic airport at 6:30 AM! Super mahal airport food, bottle of water = P35!
  • 8:50 flight, geez I was so excited! First domestic trip outside Luzon, haven’t rode a plane in 10 yrs! Luckily, Paul let me take the window seat, pero we were seated by the left wing, so there’s not much view from my place.
  • Kalibo by 10. Small airport, parang small place warehouse with a baggage counter hehe Boy-spotting, hmm, none from Cebu Pacific. I think there’s a group of cuties from PAL (oh well).
  • The land trip to Caticlan was exhausting! I should’ve put on some sunblock coz I was seated near the window. All I wanted to do then was dip into the nearest ocean from the heat!
  • Short boat ride to the island. Wow! Sparkling blue waters, white sand, man, I’ll be spending 5 days here, excitement to the max!
  • Place was not that great but was decent anyway. I think we’re the only guest at D’Mario’s. They had an Italian resto which we didn’t get to try out. The place is dorm-type. We were at Station 3, and it’s a long walk to Station 2 where the place is buzzing with activity compared to 3.
  • Ate lunch at Andok’s (luckily, they have lechon bangus hehe)
  • Went sunset swimming around 5. It’s a good thing I took up swimming class before this trip, so I can enjoy the water, which was so clear! I sort of forced Marlon and Mark to teach me how to float. Finally, after 10 million tries, I finally managed to float on my own!!
  • Eat-all-you-can dinner. Oysters and tuna-fest!
  • 1st night of inuman c/o our self-proclaimed and resident bartender “Nards”. Had only a couple of drinks due to the lack of sleep that week.

Side note, LNIE won in the APS’ Thanksgiving team presentation!!! Yehey! So proud of all of them, though I’ve only contributed finding the songs they will use, plus, of course, tons of moral support. =)

Nov 24: Day 2

  • Snorkeled for the first time! I was so scared because of the waves, and I was too uncomfortable with the life vest and snorkeling gear. After much struggle, I managed to see some corals and fishes though only for a short time.
  • Went to Puka beach (puka shells everywhere!) for lunch. “Photo shoot”-galore coz there was this log, and the blue sky and ocean provided the perfect backdrop.
  • I wore my pink two-pieced swimsuit, pero shempre I wore a top over it. Hehe, grabe 5 mins lang ata ako nag-swim with that hahaha di pa super kaya ng powers ko.
  • Bought shelled bracelets for the LNIE girls, but a few meters away, there’s a group of hawkers who’s selling the same thing way cheaper!
  • Dinner at some turo-turo. Choco banana milkshare at Jonah’s! Yum! Yum!
  • Inuman with Nards and Mark. Played memory game with the 2 plus Marlon Ankukulet! Mejo kulelat ako since the other 3 were really competitive! Slept around 4am.

Nov 25: Day 3

  • Woke up late, went to Stn 1 (grotto side) via trike. The sand is finer in this part of the island. Amazing! It’s like soaking your feet in powder, massaging you while you walk. It never goes hot, thought the sun is blazing. This is what Bora is famous for. Went swimming at lunch time! San ka pa?!?!?! Buti na lng I’m using SPF 50.
  • Ate lunch, went for a stroll after. Did a little shopping. Photoshoot again with Pam and Diane.
  • Dinner at that turo turo again. Seafood fiesta to the max! Had beer at Pier 1 with Jeeldz, Niño, Paul, Nards, Mark, Pam and Diane.

Nov 26: Day 4

  • Paraw sailing. Sunbathing na rin... The ride was so fun especially when you are being splashed with water. On the left were Paul, Mark, Diane, Nards and Pam. On my side were Migs, Carla, Marlon, Jeeldz and Niño. Mark and company were singing videoke style during the ride.
  • We were dropped at Nami a private villa at the edge of station 1. We were supposed to have lunch there but the price was as they coined like “Tony Roma’s.” So we just settled for Sizzlers at D*Mall. =P
  • Shopping for pasalubongs.
Another first – kayak! Haha! It's funny coz the guy at the resort thought I was a foreigner when I inquired about the price for he was speaking to me first in English hehe. The whole kayak ride was a laugh! The kayak has a mind on its own. Me and Jeeldz were going in circles. Paul was giving us directions, and more worried that we cannot control the boat hehe
Dinner @ Sunset Valley Mongolian. Cool place, we had dinner under the night sky and seated on bean bags. Meat got mixed with my meal and there’s no more squid available, so they have to cancel my order. I got fish and chips (fries actually) instead. There’s a band at the adjacent restaurant, so we had free entertainment!
Crepe at St.Michel’s after. The resto was already closed, but when the girl peeked out and saw all 11 of us standing there, naawa ata, they opened again for us! Hehe Amazing crepes! I had mango crepe with ice cream. Love it! Love it!

Nov 27: Last Day

  • Last swim in Boracay ocean for the trip kahit alone carry lang!
  • Met up with Pam and Diane for some last minute shopping at D*Talipapa and D*Mall. Breakfast @ Benito’s where I saw the Ira Cruz-deadringer walked past, 2x!
  • Back to D’Mario’s to pack, grabe bigat ng bagahe ko! Afterwards, photo shoot kami ni Pam in front of the resort. Super effort! The sun’s rays were directed at us, in the pictures we were both squinting hehe
  • Cheapest meal after kasi wala na kami budget haha!
  • Then back to Manila! Sobrang enjoy ng trip kahit wala na ako pang-Xmas shopping! Hahahah ok lang, Memories – priceless =)

Side note: Straight from the airport, I went directly to Oakwood for swimming class. The lesson was backfloat, and thank God I’ve practiced at Bora, kundi kahiya!

Prince of Persia. Of course trip will not be complete without looking for cute hotties in the area. There’s one I thought was cute, he was Korean having his hair braided, but when I looked again, he’s not that cute pala! 2nd there’s this really buffed guy walking past station 3. Then there’s this Ira Cruz-deadringer with long hair and tattoos (does Ira have tattoos?), who looks really hot! Haha! He was there when we had dinner at Sunset Valley. And then there’s Prince of Persia.

Pam, Diane and I were at D*Mall Sunday afternoon, waiting for the others for kayak when a group of guys caught our attention. Jeeldz was in a shop, so when we saw the guys go there, we kinda stalked them... On the way there, we saw Prince William, of course another deadringer whom Pam and Diane saw the other day. I came up with Prince of Persia for that guy, after Prince William and since the guy is sort of Mediterranean looking.

Funny when I got back from swimming, Pam immediately told me that “Prince” hooked up with a girl nearby. They have pictures to prove it haha! Stalker talaga! We saw them still together when we had dinner until before we left for crepe. Grabe! They were joking me about the two, sabi ko, “ok lang, madali ako mag-move on!” hehehe

Coincidentally, we have the same departure time, different plane nga lang. I was the last to go in the guest area at the airport, so everyone was telling me that Prince of Persia was there! Serendipity? Hahaha He was sleeping at the back, and the others took this opportunity to take a picture where he can be included in the photo hahahaah! Mga friendsters talaga! I’m not sure if there were the group of guys I thought I saw was cute who arrived via PAL. Maybe. ;-)

I was finally there...

11/23/06, finally I'm in Boracay! After weeks of scorching the malls and tiangges for the stuffs I need to bring for my first domestic flight outside of Luzon, plus doing some visualization techniques once and a while for my waist line will magically decrease before this day (well kulang pa!), I'm finally here in this beautiful island. No wonder everyone who comes here surely falls in love with this place.ü

I just had an hour’s worth of sleep before this trip. I had so much to do at work, so much stuff to prepare, and me the ever procrastinator decided to finish everything before I go on leave. I don’t know where I got the energy, I even attended my swimming class so I won’t have to pay the fine since I’ll be missing the session on the 24th (my teacher voided that absence anyway!ü). Left Oakwood before 8, went to the grocery for the breakfast I will sponsor, got dinner from Chowking then got back at the office before 9. Thank God, I managed to finish my part in the metrics tracker that night. Fred shared this outrageously funny story of his friend who got into the news for a faux pas with the police when he thought his new car was carnapped (twas the handbreak’s fault hehe). Anyways, I got home past 11 already. By then, I haven’t packed nor created the 7.9.0 high-level dates yet. O my, I was to meet Paul and Carla at Gateway by 5 AM!

I finished packing around 1, then, got online to work on the dates. Amidst my grogginess, I was able to create several last minute reminders to my team, then, emailed the needed dates which I am changing as I’m writing this blog. It was around 3:15 on my cellphone when I closed my eyes. I woke up, 4:20ish, as if I didn’t sleep at all.

One pose before Bora!

After 10 years...

...I've finally revived this blog! *applause*applause**
