I really can't live without band-aids. They are my bestfriends. They are always comfort me when I'm hurting.
Such a bummer for having big feet like I do. I'm a size 9 or 10. I don't have that much choices in shoes, so if I found one that fits me and really looks good (and costs cheaper too), I'll instantly buy those. Then, the excitement of wearing fabulous new shoes for the first time with my best office get-up will slowly fade into oblivion as I'll suffer from sore feet for the rest of the day.
Then band-aids came into the picture. They somehow aleviate the pain from these tight shoes. I recently discovered that Mediplast actually sells band-aids in diff sizes: there's a square one, a circular and mini strips. Although plasters in diff colors/designs are cute, but I don't like to buy them. For me, they're just too not worth for its purpose. How I wish that corn plasters are cheap. :S
So until the time comes that I have more money to buy really comfortable shoes, I'll just have to content myself with band-aids for the moment. My ever loyal and dependable, band aids. :)

sunday at work
The last few weeks have been really crazy at work and we just had a teambldg over at laguna (I'll write more about this later) the past 2 days. And now, it's a sunday, I'm here in the office.... working...
I woke up really groggy. I can't make my eyes open and my body seems to be glued to the bed. Plus, I'm still hurting from the the bruises I got when I fell of the stairs the other night.
Actually it's pretty cool to work in the office on a weekend. My speakers are blaring with streaming audio from LaunchCast while listening to the Indie Rock station. My lunch was KFC's Salad D Lite with Asian Vinaigrette dressing (so good! i just wish they have a bigger servings like Goolai salads) plus Caramel frappe from Starbucks. So am I on a diet or what?!?!ü
Anyways, I need to get back to work and hopefully there'll be no major issues at work today or else,
I'll be sooo dead.

The wheel weaves what the wheel wills
I just can't get enough of the Wheel of Time series! I was able to finish Book 1: Eye of the World
in 2 weeks and am currently reading Book 2: The Great Hunt. It's a very thick book, but Robert Jordan rocks! He's Tolkien in the flesh. His love for history is really evident in the way he laid out a saga of an ordindary sheepherder who finds himself as the Dragon Reborn, the one person who can channel the "One Power" - a fate that yields both power and danger over humanity and the dark friends. woohoohoo!
Reading it somehow rekindles my innate love for History, a passion that I have since I was young, but never seriously explored. The nearest I was able to pursue this interest, was when I proposed this idea to go the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) so we can come up with a topic for our undergraduate thesis.
Then the rest is history - we got a thesis, had the pleasure of meeting this honorable man who devoted his life to the upliftment of Philippine culture - Dr. Jesus Peralta (Doc P) and even presented our work to Architecture professors and professionals! Back to Doc P, he's such a fine man, wish I could get an opportunity to meet him again, and be able to have that some kind of contribution to the country. Naks..
I do really love to join someday, an org which caters to the upliftment of culture.
Here goes another weaving of the wheel...
